Jason Aldean’s 10th Studio Album is Now Complete with the Release of Georgia

Jason Aldean‘s 10th studio album is a double album – and it’s fully available now.

The first half, Macon, arrived last fall.

The second half of the project, Georgia, is out now…

Talking about the full project Macon, Georgia – Aldean says “It’s a reflection of where I grew up and who I’ve become.”

After working on this double album for so long, Jason is very happy to share the complete collection with fans, “When you’re recording these albums, you spend a lot of time in the studio working on them, and trying to perfect them and make ’em right. And sometimes we live with these albums for months, if not a year, before we get a chance to release ’em out to the public. And everybody else gets to hear ’em. So, for me, it’s exciting, I mean it’s always exciting to have those out.”

Aldean shares why his 10th album was a double album, “The way music is now it’s so different than it was even five years ago, where you go ‘Alright, here’s an album, and the next album will be out in a year and a half, or whatever.’ Now, we’re trying to bridge the gap a little bit with this record, dropping the first half, then six months later dropping the second half. So this was just kind of a cool way to do that. Give the fans more music, and with it being my tenth album, it just kinda felt like the right time to do that.”

While Macon, Georgia is a double album from Jason – in a way it almost feels like 3 albums. With the 10 studio tracks on Macon, and 10 studio tracks on Georgia – but each collection also contains 5 live versions of Jason’s previous hits for a total of 30 songs.

When it comes to putting together his albums, and creating his music, for Jason the live element of performing it for fans is always on his mind, “You know, I think when we’re in the studio trying to record things, we’re constantly looking at things that are gonna translate live, that we feel like, if we are playing an arena, or amphitheater, or stadium, or whatever we’re doing. What’s something that feels like a stadium anthem, it feels like something that, you know, people will be out there singing, and just something that feels big.”

The tour gets it’s name from one of the tracks on Georgia.

Jason explains, “I always try to name the tour something that I think is really cool and kinda catchy, and maybe is representative of what the tour is all about. With this one Rock ‘n’ Roll Cowboy, just kinda seemed like the perfect title for the tour. Obviously it’s a name of one of the songs on the record, but that’s kind of who we are. I’m the guy in a cowboy hat and boots, but when you come to a show, it’s a rock show.”

Macon and now Georgia are both available from Jason Aldean.

His current single at country radio is “Trouble With A Heartbreak.”
