Two of the most celebrated divas in all of music—country’s Dolly Parton and pop’s Katy Perry—will team up for a special duet performance during the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards taking place April 3. According to an official statement released Monday (March 21), their collaboration will be Dolly and Katy’s first-ever live performance together. In addition to performing, Dolly will also be honored during this year’s ACM Awards with the Tex Ritter Award for Coat of Many Colors, the TV movie based on her life and legendary hit song of the same name. The award is presented annually to a movie which featured country music and received major exposure during the previous year.
